We are delighted to announce the participation of KANON by designer Yuna Hattori, which will present the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, during Paris Fashion Week on March 6 at the iconic InterContinental Paris Le Grand.
KANON is a couture house that reinterprets the spiritual and aesthetic heritage of Japan for the modern woman. Blending the timeless beauty of the kimono with contemporary design, the brand transforms tradition into a living, evolving expression of fashion.
Creations by KANON have been commissioned by distinguished figures, including Ms. Sanae Takaichi, Prime Minister of Japan, and Ms. Satsuki Katayama, Minister of Finance and Member of the House of Councillors.
At the heart of the collection lies the tanmono — untouched bolts of kimono fabric. Many of these textiles, though newly woven, have never been tailored into garments and were once destined to remain unseen. Within them live the time, craftsmanship, and spirit of anonymous artisans.
KANON carefully selects these rare materials and reconstructs them into contemporary couture. This process is not simply upcycling — it is a cultural revival, restoring fading value and allowing it to shine once again on the global stage.
Each dress combines the architectural structure of the kimono with three-dimensional tailoring, refined draping, and meticulously curated textiles. Through this dialogue between form and movement, past and future, the garments embody both strength and serenity.
“I want to revive the soul of the craftsmen in these pristine fabrics that have never once seen the light of day.”
— Yuna Hattori
This vision has received the support of cultural and governmental leaders who share the belief that fashion can become a platform for international dialogue and the preservation of heritage.
KANON brings together artisans, designers, and women from different cultures in a shared aspiration — to honor tradition while carrying it forward. Like a spiral ascending upward, this movement connects generations and nations, ensuring that cultural identity continues to live through contemporary creation.
On the runway, each woman walks as an individual presence, yet together they create harmony — a meeting of Japan’s spirit of Wa and the free, creative energy that defines Paris.
KANON does not present tradition as ornament, but as the future of couture.
Within every creation lives the mastery of artisans, the weight of time, and a message for the next generation.
A dress that moves the heart — quietly, yet unmistakably.
KANON will create a new resonance on the stage of Paris.
